facilities

At Brannock veterinary clinic, we are lucky to have excellent facilities to allow us to offer a very high level of care for your pets. On arrival at the surgery we have the waiting room and reception area. There is a small goody area to treat our pets within one corner of the waiting area.

The main rooms that we use from here are the two consulting rooms which we use for vet and nurse consultations. These are well equipped to deal with any examinations or investigations required during a consult. More intensive investigations are undertaken by analysing samples taken – blood urine and skin samples in our lab with our in house idexx machine and our microscope.

Occasionally, investigations may take the form of an x-ray and usually this would involve your pet being admitted for a period of time and we offer them a cosy vet-bed lined kennel to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

The x-ray room houses not only the x-ray machine but also our automatic processor to ensure the best quality images are obtained. Animals are also admitted into our kennel room in preparation for any surgical procedures. We administer anaesthetics and clip the hair away from the surgical sites in our prep area.

We may also carry out minor procedures in this area or dental procedures using our dental scaler and polisher.

Animals who are undergoing surgery are then transferred into theatre for their surgical procedures. A warm cosy bed and blankets await them and we allow them to recover fully before we discharge them back to you.

Behind the scenes we also have two offices and a staff area. Our original office has become our storage area and our own pets’ accommodation and a new office is where Elaine is found under a mountain of paperwork when she is not consulting or operating.

We are very proud of our surgery and maintain high levels of maintenance and cleanliness to make any trip to the surgery as pleasant as possible even if our patients would prefer to stay home !
